Setting the Record Straight...
Since 2006, American television journalist and filmmaker Michael Jordan has traveled the world chronicling the many surprising ways in which French soldiers, sailors, and airmen help American troops fight in some of the world's most dangerous places. In his recent documentary, "French Fries and Freedom Toast," Michael tackles head-on the foolish France-bashing that became so prevalent in American politics and society after the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq, and which persists to some extent today. From the bloody battlefields of the American Revolution to the rocky peaks and valleys of Afghanistan, French troops have been fighting and dying alongside their American brethren for more than 200 years.
